Best Brunch in London

Nothing beats a weekend brunch in London, and the choices are endless. Although my favourite brunch spots always change as I discover new places, here are my current top 5 places for brunch in the Big Smoke:

Recommended: Buttermilk Blueberry Pancakes

I only discovered this little gem recently, but these pancakes are hands-down the best I have ever had. They look small and manageable, but this was one of the few times where I genuinely could not finish my pancakes (and trust me, I tried).

2) The Botanist, Sloane Square

Recommended: Eggs Royale

Despite being slightly pricier than the other options on the list, you definitely get what you pay for with this one; from a cloakroom service, to constant water refills, this is the go-to brunch spot to take friends visiting the city. The food and coffees are made to perfection too, of course.

3) Where The Pancakes Are, Flat Iron Square

Recommended: American Pancakes with Bananas & Bacon

This was another recent find, and as one of the (very) few places that appreciates the bananas and bacon combo, it had to make the list. Now, I know what you're thinking with the combo, but don't knock it until you've tried it. I was skeptical too initially but then I had it and my life has never been the same since. This is also the reason that The Breakfast Club didn't make the cut - they discontinued their French Toast with bananas and bacon (my fave). This is also the perfect location for a drink afterwards and is very aesthetic.

4) Greenberry Cafe, Primrose Hill

Recommended: Fluffy Pancake with Ricotta & Mixed Berries

Following on with another ideally-located spot is Greenberry. Following a heavy brunch, Primrose Hill the the perfect area to explore, with beautiful views and aspirational houses. This pancake is another small, but very filling, one and they're not kidding when they say it's fluffy!

5) The Wolseley, Mayfair

Recommended: Pancakes with berries

Last, but not least, we have The Wolseley. This London classic offers excellent service and is frequented by many a famous person. The pancakes are made to perfection and there's never too little maple syrup as each table gets a jar!

N.B. I should mention that there are only two things I like for brunch: Pancakes, or Eggs Royale. You probably saw a theme through the recommendations at each place.
